Brecon Women's Festival 1st - 11th March 2012
Brecon's first Women's Festival took place between March 1st and 11th 2012 to mark 'International Women's Day'.
Founded and organised by a small group of local women, the Festival is a week of events taking place on and around International Women's Day that aim to celebrate the creativity, talents and achievements of inspirational women in and around Brecon during the past and the present, as well as highlighting the very real issues facing women today.
There was an eclectic programme of events including art, poetry, drama, talks, and an arts and crafts fair at various venues across Brecon including Theatr Brycheiniog, The Hours Cafe & Bookshop, the Cathedral and the Guildhall. Please go to the 'Programme' page for full details.
